"Strength in numbers.
Power in Team.
Stick Together,
To feel the Spirit of Team"
Introduction:
As students advance from their primary schools to a new secondary school, they are met with an unfamiliar and challenging environment. It is arduous for any individual to survive in such environments. However, with the power of a class or team, it eases this transition and gives confidence for students to perform to their best abilities.
The main objective of the program is to instill in the participants the importance of working together in teams to achieve effective team bonding, generate stronger team spirit and to accomplish the team’s vision.
This program gives your training participant the skills they need to communicate, gain respect and enhance team members’ relationships. Through the highly challenging activities, the participants will identify the desirable behaviors that encourage teamwork and active participation. It includes unplugging the mindset of participants, and this ensures that they are able to experience improvements immediately after the workshop.
This experiential team building has been designed and sequenced in accordance with knowledge of team development. The acknowledged stages of team development are as follows:
Forming
Where participants become aware of the identity of others, share goals, accept missions and energize.
Storming
Where newly accepted group behaviors are tested and contested
Norming
Where rules of engagement are set in place and formalized
Performing
The team inculcates the self/other knowledge of team members, new rules, and accepted goals and performs at its level of ‘bettering the best’.
Outcomes will be derived through a facilitated learning process that will involve facilitated group discussions, activities and role-plays.
Benefits to your Students:
At the end of the programme, your students will be able to:
- Understand why they need to work together as a team instead of individually.
- Identify their responsibilities as a team member, leading to collective efforts.
- Learn how to be an effective and winning team player
- Understand how a team differs from a group
- Acquire effective skills to communicate with others, resolve conflicts and provide feedback within a team unit
- Understand group and interpersonal dynamics
- Problem solving and creative thinking in a team environment
Learning Methodology:
An interactive method will be used throughout the course comprising theory, interactive and action learning activities, discovery exercises, group discussion, role-playing and self-assessment.
"Solve the case..
Find the solution.
Discover the missing link.
The link to build the team.
